  1. The Gabha Rua

There are many stories told about the Gabha Ruadh but this is one.

There are many stories told about the Gabha Ruad but this is one. One night a beggar man came to the Gabha Ruadh and he remained three nights with him. After that he fell sick. The Gabha Ruad insisted that he would go for the priest. The beggar man persuaded him to wait for the day light, as it was very dark. The Gabha Ruad did not like his appearance so he went for the priest. When he was dying the Gabha Ruad asked him to come back and tell him what class was the other world. He came after a time, and he said you want to be a good man to get to sheltery side of ditch in a bad night.
