    There was a fisherman there long ago he was 63 years his wife was 70 they had no family he was this night fishing when the Mermaid appeared to him, she asked him for the first son the wife would have he laughed at her and said when they hadn't them in their youth they had no chance of having them now, promise me and I'll make you a rich man, so he promised her and she gave him a crock of gold, he went home and after twelve months he went fishing again the Mermaid appeared to him again and asked him was his son born he said yes. She told him after three years to bring the son out till she see him and he did so, he was as big as a boy of ten she fell in love with him as soon as she saw him told him bring him back again and send him to school till he is seven and sen dhim to school till he is
