  1. There is a certain house in Carhuefree. When they were building it, whatever portion they would have built of it every day would be knocked the next morning.
    They stayed up by night to know would they catch who was knocking it. They could not see anyone and still it was knocked in the morning. There was a famous woman in the same place that went by the name of Peigín na Pisreóg. They sent for her and told her what was happening. She got some irons and put them in the fire until they were red. Whatever she saw in the irons she told them that they were building the hose between two forts and to remove the foundation to some side that the good people travelled from one fort to the other. They did that and afterwards whatever portion they built during the day there would be as much done by night by the "good people". She also told them to put money in the
