    The parties concerned show their agreement by striking hands. Sometimes hair is clipped of the animal's side and sometimes they are marked with "keel".
    (Keel is thing like a crayon used for marking cattle in this locality)
    Sometimes the halter is given along with the animal.
    The May fair and the November fair are the two largest fairs of the year. In some towns there are special fairs held for horses and sheep.
