    Hockbride, Bailieboro and is on the farm of Mr. McGuire. Until recently it was a marsh or quagmire, and even yet the ground is quite soft to walk on. When drains were being made in this spot, the workmen founded rounded stones which are often to be seen round the shores of a lake, and also pointed stakes.
    This ancient lake which disappeared never came back, but another lake in the same townland is now called "Seeorum Lake"
