    Miss Toner, the teacher, we nearly did miss her,
    Jamie Matthews, the merchant, and the mand they called "Yessir,"
    Matt McNamee struck the nail on the head,
    For he got an order to make all the bread.

    The ladies all there were scented with musk,
    The brave Johnnie Matthews and the bold Jamie Rusk,
    He neatly stepped round with a bun in his paw,
    And the brave Laurence Gillic, another limb of the law
    IV
    They all drank a health and a toast to the Sovereign,
    Which was responded by Paddy McGovern.
