There is one in the village of Rathdangan and two in Cranareen.
The one in Rathdangan is called "Tobar Owen". Long ago there was a tree beside the well and a man named John Moore was hung there during the rebellion of 1798. The stump of the tree is still to be seen there. If a person has sore eyes and if he rubs his eyes with the water they shall be cured. The people tried to bring the water to the pump but when they pumped out the water it was red and unfit for use.
One of the wells in Cranareen is beside the river. This is known as St Brigid's Well." People visit that well on certain days but most of the people visit it on the day of the feast of St. Bridgid. If people have a sore throat and if they drink the water they shall be cured.
The well in the graveyard in Cranareen is called Tobar on Teampall. If a person had warts and if he went to the well three times they would be cured.
