    nest has been destroyed he will repair it, but if he has to have a new one he usually builds it under the eaves, or against the beams or chimneys on little hole in each side of it. The wren lays nine or ten eggs, and hatches them for a forthnight.
    The sparrow builds her nest in ivy growing on an old house. The nest is made of dried grass and lined with feathers. She lays from six to eight eggs.
    The thrush builds her nest in the [sl?] side of a ditch. The nest is made of dried hay and hair. and she puts it together. with mud. She lays five eggs of a blue colour with small spots of brown on them.
    The woodquest builds her nest in the branch of a tree. the nest is made of fine sticks. and is very deep. It is wider at the top then at the bottom. The woodquest never lays any more than two eggs. They are of a white colour. and about half the size of a hen's eggs. She hatches them for three weeks.
