Friday is looked on as being a lucky day to go a journey from home. Monday is considered a good day to begin the year's ploughing or reaping the harvest.
There is an old rhyme about the months for getting married in. "Marrying in May you rude the day. Marrying in June the roses bloom. Life shall be a long honey moon", It is considered unlucky to get married in the month of May, It is considered lucky to get married in the month of June. In this distict Wednesday is considered a most lucky day to get married. In fact nearly all the marriages take place on a Wednesday.
There is an old rhyme about the day of the week for getting married on Monday for health. Tuesday for wealth. Wednesday the best day of all. Thursday for crosses. Friday for losses. Saturday is no day at all.
