    Friday and Saturday are also looked upon as being unlucky for washing. As the old rhyme says. "She who wahses on Monday has the whole week to dry. She who washes on Tuesday has let a day go by She who washes on Friday washes in need, and she who washes on Saturday is a dirty slut indeed"
