- Some years ago there used to be a horse races in Ballybrack. The day on which the races were held was a very wet day, the people going down to it had to cross a river. When they were coming home the floods had come down the river. A car was going across the river, and the horse was swept down it. It carried the people who were in the car to the footbridge at the mill. Some people were on the bridge pulled them out. The horse was pulled out at Ballykillane. Part of the car was carried to Haroldstown.
