- The Bark yard is a field in Cangort about a mile from Shinrone. About one hundred years ago it was a place where the people used to bark the trees to manufacture leather and so it got its name.
- Gort na mban is a place in Cangort also. It is so called because when the Cangort Castle was built it is said that the women used the field as a sports field for themselves.
