    Whilst I hold my pen in my hand
    Until I have praised that splendid location
    Whilst I at my liberty stand
    It was there I was reared up most tender
    Led on by good parents command
    Where trade it dud flourish in splendour
    In Kilcommon the charming townland

    Though it's beauties are now some way faded
    The ruins of our monastry only to stand
    That were built by the hands of our saints
    When they came for to visit our land
