  1. A crock of gold was supposed to be hidden in the corner of Peter Spollen's field in Ballyclare.
    It is not known who put it there, or what value it is. Three men dug for it one night but got nothing There was a hawthorn bush near it.
    It was supposed that whoever cut that bush would have no luck. Peter Spollen cut the bush and built a shed where it was.
