  1. A treasure is supposed to be hidden in Newtown near Ferbane. It is said to be a crock of gold. It was placed there by an Englishman.
Attempts were made to get it, but a stone would stop the searchers every time they tried.
A dog is supposed to be guarding it. A little camp or tent is seen there every night. The dog is seen at the camp or tent.
Anyone who has tried to dig up the treasure cannot pass by the spot after nine o'clock at night, or he will be killed.
