Ar an leathanach seo

  1. A football match was played long ago between Kilmore Parish, "Magpies", and Kilmannon who represented Cleariestown Parish in the school field, Murrintown.
    Twenty one men took part on either side. It was played for seven Sundays in succession.
    The "Magpies" won. Peter (Powers?) of Kilmore won fame and on the field. There was a song made up about the "Magpies". I cannot get it.
    The "Magpies" wore black and white jerseys with their breeches turned up at the knees.
    They had an ordinary football.
    In 1928 Murrintown won out the Wexford Hurling Championship, John Radford of (Boggan's?) road and Paddy Murphy of Murrintwon were two great hurlers then.
    One of the songs made up about the magpies is
