    Nash about two and a half miles from here. On the fair green of Nash wish is known as Carrauginaminogus it was usual to hold bon fires at times of rejoicing.
    This evening a dance was in full swing. The boys and girls from near and far were enjoying the dance and the bon fire was blazing at its height. During the dance the bon-fire died down and one of the girls said she would not be long procuring some fire wood. She went off laughing to a near-by grave-yard. She gathered some of the old crosses that were lying about, brought them back and flung them on the bon fire. After a short time a scream was hear. The girl was seen to rise up and disappear in the air with the clouds and nothing was ever seen or heard of her again, only her apron was got on brambles or friars near the place. This ended the bonfires on the fair green
