  1. Bartle from Coolroe.
    1
Out spoke Bartle Rashford a smith I am betrayed,
My father was a farmer, long in his grave he's laid,
The house which he was born in, the bailiffs did lay low,
You'll never want Pat Rashford's hand said Bartle from Coolroe.
    11
Then to the forge went Bartle and loud the anvil rung,
And with his stout strong arms the heavy sledge he swung,
And as he shaped the iron the brilliant sparks did glow
I wish to God it was a pike said Bartle from Coolroe.
    111
Up to the front the Canon stepped and said now boys attend.
You know Ive always been to you a councillor and a friend
You have done enough for Wexford's fame where Slaneys waters flow.
