  1. The local fair is held in Campile each month. Fairs were held on the green of Nash long ago. About sixty years ago the buyers transacted business at farmers houses. The fair of Nash was held in the neighbourhood of a cemetry. The Campile fair is held in a street. When an animal is sold luck money is given. Before turkeys ire sold the buyers give a shilling to the people who sell the turkeys, this money is called earnest money. The parties show their agreement by striking hands. It is a custom to spit on the luck money. The horses are marked when sold by clipping the hair on the hips by means of a clippers.
