cross each time. Scutch grass was boiled and the water of it drank for rheumatism. When people had the toothache they took Easter water with pepper in it. Children who had the whooping cough were given food left behind by a ferret. This lightened the cough but it did not cure it. Two Cahills married can cure evils by putting three droops of blood on them. When seven sons are in a family one after another the seventh is supposed to have a charm.

Penny leaves would cure corns and burns. Bee's wax would also cure corns. Rub the wax on the corns and it will cure them. Two pieces of limestone well rubbed to-gether, and wet them, and rub them until
come on them will cure warts.
