Oh sure half a dozen neighbours strove to put them
on a jennet
and only that they told nobody they'd be half the
parish in it
you know it is not very day two amadans get wed
Maurice kills us a bullock or a tinker's ass is dead
But Moll she sat in style behind and kept a dying
grip
For fear the jennet or the man would give herself the slip

The priest was in the parlour and his eye with fun
twas flashing
when he saw Mark's [?] cordruoy and Moll
dressed out to fashion
Says he "The sooner I'll be done the better for my peace
So he set them out before him like two asses in a
race
For moll she looked across at Mark and Mark he
winked at her
And his breeches creaked like cabbage every time
he gave a stir
