  1. Holy Well
About one mile from my home there is a well called "Tobair na Cille". It is near the church of Milltown. It is a very clear well.
The old people used to go to it on the feast of Saint Matthew on the twenty first day of September, and say the fifteen decades of the Rosary around it. They believed that they would be free from all diseases during the year.
This saint is the patron of our parish.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
