  1. Long ago there lived in may parish a great runner named Thomas Greaghan. One day he was at a sports in Ballynacargy and he was going to run in a foot race because he was a great runner.
    He won the race and was very warm. He drank a cup of cold water and that night he got pneumonia.
    After many weeks he got better and when he was a month he lost the power of his legs.
