  1. Cock-fights were forbidden by the law.
    It was a usual pastime long. It used to take place in lonely places as it was punishable by law. People use to come from far and near to it some walking and others cycling. They searched the place at about 3 o'clock in the morning. Places where they used to take place are Cullion, Slanemore, Multyfarnham and the Hill of Freamhain.
    It would take place in a large field clipped tightly for the purpose
