  1. Cock fights were very common long ago. They were always against the law because it was a cruel past-time. There were special cocks for the fights called game-cocks and they were fed on special food. The fights usually took place in a lonely place. Some of the places they took place in are Multyfarnham, Cullion, Slanemore, and the hill of Treamhair. The matches always took place very early in the morning at 3 o'clock or sometimes in the moonlight.
    The fights took place in a big flat field, there was a ring cut in the middle it was called the
