  1. Pheumonia. Six to ten onions chopped finely - put in "Skillet" with the same amount of rye-meal. Add vinegar to make a paste. Let it simmer for 5 mins. Put into a cotton bag, large enough to cover lungs and apply to chest. (Called by old people Inflamnation of Lungs.)
    Abcess. Cured by bathing in water in which parsnips have been boiled.
    Cold on Chest. Brown paper soaked in goose-grease on tallow and applied to chest.
    Sore throat. Salt roasted and put in a 1. woollen stocking wound around the neck. 2. Black-currants boiled in honey and sugar.
