  1. About seventy years ago there lived in Rathconnell an old landlord named John Walsh. He owned many houses and he had a couple of tenants living near him. One of his tenants became very poor and he could not afford to pay the rent, so the landlord threathened to put himself and his family out of the house. The tenant on hearing thos made up his mind to take the life of his landlord. He arose before daylight one morning and went to the house of his landlord taking with him a riffle. He knocked at the door and the landlord opened it and as soon as he opened it the tenant shot the landlord
