    Hens are kept in a hen house. They are very useful for laying. It was supposed to be the Danes that brought hens to Ireland
    June is an unlucky month to put hatching eggs down. To call the hens the people say Tioc Tioc
    Goose. Geese are kept by themselves when feeding. The people call the, Bins Hibs [?] It is unlucky to hatch a goose in its first year
