  1. Marriages in recent times take place at rare intervals throughout the year. The months most favoured are February, April, June and September. May is said to be an unlucky month. Wednesday is the day on which most marriages take place. A few take place on Monday.

    Friday for crosses
    Saturday no luck at all.
    Matches are made in the district and money is given as a dowry.
