It is very nice to eat. Bridie Lenahan said she often saw boxty made at home in Ballinamuck, Co Longford. Her people at home make it yet. Mrs Keogh is able to make it & often (made) saw it her in Coolronan up to twenty or thirty years ago.
    Long ago the people used to have potatoes three times nearly every day. It was very seldom they had sweet bread like now it was nearly always oaten meal bread and wheaten bread and the people were just as strong as now.
    About thirty years ago everybody would eat potatoes and salt. Some would eat it three times a day others would only eat them twice a day and they used to eat porridge for their supper. The was the people used oat potatoes long ago was not like nowadays; they had a big basket and they
