  1. Long ago some thieves stole candlesticks from Tullyallen Catholic Church. They tried to escape with them, but they failed.
    As soon as the candlesticks were missed a search was made which proved fruitless for a time. The thieves knowing they were being followed and not wishing the candlesticks to be found on them, threw them underneath a bridge.
    This bridge is near the Church and is called Candlestick Bridge. People say that these candlesticks appear if one stoops down and looks under this
