    They got so hungry in the end that they ate the skins of the turnips which were thrown in the fields. There were twelve poor families living in Oxmount and they all got evicted and she gave them a room for some time.
    Cholera was the name of the disease with which the people were stricken. They got this disease from hunger and exhaustion. They were found dead on the roadsides, fields and houses and they were buried without coffins. The food was very scarce for some time afterwards.
