    The Groves of Tullycrine.
    One pleasant Sunday evening
As I went for a walk.
    Into a loving townland
With some pals to have a talk.
    I was feeling very lonely
Though the evening it was fine.
And the sun was shining brightly
    Round the Groves of Tyullycrine.
    11
I have been all over Ireland.
Through hills, through towns and vale.
    And round by Abbeyfeale (Fale)
I have been to Muckross Abbey
    In Killarney's Lakes so fine
But the scenery is just as pretty
    Round the Groves of Tullycrine.
    111
    As I was meditating
On which way I would pursue.
    I met a dear comrade.
