To preserve the effects of charms
Set a branch of mountain ash in every
one of your fields and sprinkle it with
holy water.
It is unlucky to give away anything
on Monday but is lucky to get something.
Look at a new moon over your right
shoulder and turn the silver in your pocket and it is said you will not be short of money for that month.
If you are going into a new house go on Friday and have the cat behind you.
Light a bon-fire on St. John's eve and drive the cows over it.
You are not supposed to sweep the dirt out the door lest you sweep out your luck.
If the water of certain spring wells be shimmed before sunrise on the 1st May and the shimming kept in a bottle it will bring luck to the holder.
