  1. Curraghina Moat
About a mile from the School beside the road to Golden in the townland of Curraghina there is a moat.
This moat is twenty five feet high. Across the top it is about ten feet wide. It is about one hundred and fifty feet in circumference at the base.
There are ash trees and white and black thorn bushes growing in it.
The surrounding district can be seen from its top. The main road that runs from Cahir to Bansha can be seen from its top also.
It is in Mrs Keating's farm and it is about one hundred yards from the road.
Nobody would think of interfering with it for fear of the revenge of the fairies.
