  1. Fishing is carried on, on a large scale in the River Suir, at Ardfinan
    Salmon and trout are the principal fish caught. Several gentlemen rent parts of the river for the sport, during the fishing season.
    Mr Mulcahy, who lives in Ardfinnan Castle, owns a great of the river near the Castle.
