  2. In nearby every old Irish house there is what is known as Settle-bed. As a general rule one side of the bed is fixed to the wall. The other side is supported by two legs about one foot and nine inches high. From the wall there are run two boards four inches high and two foot five inches wide. One of these boards are mortised into a leg at each end.

  3. Long ago it was all wooden utensils people used in the kitchens and in the dairies, such as wooden pans, wooden skimmers, wooden jugs, wooden plates and a lot of other.The wooden pans were used for keeping milk in and the wooden skimmers were used for skimming.
