  1. On our farm the most objectionable weeds in the grass and meadows are the yellow Iris, Rushes, Thistles, March Marigold and the Water Mint, and where they grow the cattle will have no grass to eat.
    On the tillage portion of the farm, the worst weeds are Dock weed. Preshock, and Wild Parsnip.
    All those weeds spread very fast if they are allowed to grow for any length of time.
    Each herb has a special cure of its own. The Dandlion is used to cure warts. Nettles are used to cure warts. Ferns are used in drenches for young cattle. The yarrow another plant which grows on waste ground grows during the summer months.
