crowds and had those women in the car.
The horse got very sick with a fever and the man had to leave him there with his friends for a month or so, he recovered but had lost the sight of one eye.
About a year and a half afterwards the man was again in Galbally. He met a little, old man who was a perfect stranger to him. The little man said to him "You horse has a blind eye". The man asked him how he knew that, and the old man told him that it was well for him he had his wife with him when he was out on Xmas Eve night otherwise he and his horse would be done for. He cautioned him not to be out at that time of the night again.
