    This is a true story that happened near here. A man was dying and he was leaving his wife and children after him.

    This is a true story that happened near here. A man was dying and he was leaving his wife and children after him. The man had a lingering death and all the neighbors were very kind to his wife because she was unconsolable and my grandmother was a great friend of hers. One night a man came to my grandmother's house to inquire how he was, but the doctor and priest only gave him a few more days to live.
    The following night this same man was coming home from the village and he got in a field which is only fifty yards from this school. As he was in the field he thought he heard tramping of horses and motor cars noising like anything. He went over to a hedge and looked out through it, which is standing still. As he looked out what was it but a large funeral of people.
    He began thinking to know who was dead around or why was it going to the chapel so late as it was nearly ten oclock in the night. As he was looking at it he noticed this man that was dying in a side car and his coat hanging out over it and it all spattered. He ran for his life and told my grandmother the strange event he had seen. But she told him that he had died early in the day. Neset day the man was buried and on
