the blue school is situated in the townland of Ringmoylan. There were two large buildings one of which was lately knocked down and used to make roads another ruin, part of this school is still standing in Shannongrove which was called the baby house. It was built by a society of Protestants with a view to make converts to their Faith by taking children from their parents who were often too poor to keep them. It was also used a Protestants orphan school. They failed to make converts and some of their members became Catholics.
