especially Thomas Costello who can tell good ghost stories. There seems to be many more houses in the village in former days than now. The ruins of a number of thatched cabins are all through the village and in the surrounding district. People who lived in these cabins emigrated to America when times were bad in Ireland and when there was an opportunity of making a living in America. Most of them have done well there and never came back to their native land.
