  1. One night a young man was out visiting a neighbours house, and arrived home very late. He had just entered his own house when he heard a great knock at the door, and even though he was a bit nervous, he opened the door and to his surprise two women were standing outside the door. He did not know them but he partly guessed that they wee not of this world. They asked him if he might know where the holy well of Colm Og (Young Charles) was and if he might show it to them. He said he knew it well as he had lived near it all his life and that he would be glad to convey them to it.
