  1. I never heard of any Poet in our district only a Poetess and her name was Mrs. Coppinger. She was a native of Rossmore. About the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty five years ago she was born. She wrote poetry about the Carrigtwohill Sodality when she was eighteen years of age in the year one thousand eight hundred severty three. She was sixty five years of age when she died. She was buried in Teampollcurraheer. The power of poetry came suddenly. She wrote English about "The Invitation" into the Sodality of the Children of Mary. She was a farmer.
