  1. There was a man one time who was out late in the fields. He lost his way. He heard a tap-tap-tap of a hammer. He went towards it. It was a leipreachán making shoes. The man caught him. He asked the leipreachán for his crock of gold. But the leipreachán said he had no gold. The man said "Give me the crock of gold or I'll hang you".
    "Oh" said the leipreachán "look at the big dog behind you".
    The man looked and there was no dog there. When he looked in front again the leipreachán was gone.
