Old Mrs. Aherne of Kilcor, Castlelyons had a mould for making candles.
Nails were made in Bridesbridge, Castlelyons, Co. Cork by Maggie Roche's grandfather. They were made out of thin rod-iron. A piece of the iron was cut off a little bit longer that the size of the nail. Then the iron was reddened in the fire. Next it was pointed and hammered to the width. Then it was put into a shape and the head hammered until it was the right size.
