    House Burning:-
    About the year 1860 a house which was called the dairy owned by a man named Carey. He fell out with the Catholic Clergy owing to make the workman work on Sundays. He was an Orangeman so he brought orangemen to work for him. The orangemen were not long working for him when the Dairy was burned Carey blamed the catholics for this but it was later believed hat it was the orangemen burned it.
    Plagues:-
    In the year 1871 there was a plague on cattle and a great number of cattle died all over the country. This disease was afterwards known as the foot and mouth disease.
    The Famine followed this. There were two girls from Clondulane goind to Callagown school. There was a woman and a little baby living in a small cottage. The girls used to call to see her every morning. One morning the girls called but the baby was dead, and it
