    a machine for cutting iron, colts, chisel, punch.
    The smith is constantly employed shoeing horses and donkeys every day. Sometimes he has to mend ploughs and harrows, especially in the spring time, and in the summer he repairs Mowing Machines, Hay-tossers and Wheel-rakes.
    Wheels are shod in the open air beside the stream. There is a special day for this kind of work.
    Smiths were looked upon as being very strong always.
    The forge is a favourite resort for many people, as the day's events are discussed there, besides, stories are often told and most people delight in listening to them.
