  1. There is a very old road passing through our village from Tullilease on the North to Kilbrin on the South. It is about twelve miles in length and would remind you of a Switch Back Railway In this road there are some very steep hills, still motors manage to travel along it, but this only happens rarely. On the road to Tullilease from Freemount there are two valleys that are not bridged, and in rainy weather it is impossible for a motor to travel this way owing to the swollen streams flowing across the road. The County Council has under consideration the building of suitable bridges in these valleys, and it is to be hoped that this necessary work will be carried out in the near future.
