  1. To play "Partners" an odd number of children must be chosen. Then one of them passing from one to another says -
    Oranges, oranges in a row
    Where did the old crow go?
    To the east, to the west
    To the old crow's nest
    Hopping in the garden
    Skipping in the sea
    And if you want a fair lady
    Please pick me.
    Then whoever the "Me" falls on should stand back and the count goes on as before and whoever the second "Me" falls on, is the first girl's partner. The counting continues in this way until there is only one player left. This one is the "Hunter"
    The "Partners" then separate and the "Hunter" chases all the girls and if she succeeds in catching anyone
